The Conservative History Group was established in 2002. It publishes an annual journal and holds occasional events.

Membership is open to anyone interested in the history of the Conservative & Unionist Party, whatever their political persuasion.

Lord Lexden on the Earl of Shaftesbury

The Chairman of the Conservative History Group, Lord Lexden, was invited to give a lecture on the great Tory social reformer, the 7th Earl of Shafesbury, as part of the Speaker’s Lecture series.
